Although I tend to prefer irregularly shaped and worn out objects, there is something to be said for the clean, crisp lines of symmetry and the repetition of geometric shapes, the square tiles on the wall perpendicular to the circular metal bases of the hardware. The inset of circles of various sizes into the square of the counter top and the contrast of the curved silver basin to the flat hard-edged yellow counter top attract the eye as well, as do the shiny surfaces catching the and reflecting the light and surroundings. One is almost hesitant to turn on the taps lest the flow of water disturb the perfection of the scene.
