All of Indian culture seems to be infused with rich vibrant colour, making the combination of traditional dance, music and costume a treat for all senses. This dance performance was part of a month long festival in Southeast India. The three dancers were students of the headlining dancer; a child prodigy of a master dancer of India. Four musicians and a vocalist provided accompaniment. Each movement of the dancers displayed the colours of yet another fold of their beautiful silk costumes as the accordian pleated fabric opened and closed to the sway of the mesmerizing music.
